Borobudur temple is the Budhist temple. it's one of the biggest temple in Indonesia and World Wonder Heritages. it was built in the ninth century. it has 1460 relief panels and 504 Buddha effigies in its complex. Borobudur was built by King Samaratungga, one of the kings of Old Mataram Kingdom, the descendant of Sailendra dynasty. Based on Kayumwungan inscription, an Indonesian named Hudaya Kandahjaya revealed that Borobudur was a place for praying that was completed to be built on 26 May 824, almost one hundred years from the time the construction was begun. The name of Borobudur, as some people say, means a mountain having terraces (budhara), while other says that Borobudur means monastery on the high place.

To refuse his love, Jonggrang asked Bondowoso to make her a temple with 1,000 statues only in one-night time. The request was nearly fulfilled when Jonggrang asked the villagers to pound rice and to set a fire in order to look like morning had broken. Feeling to be cheated, Bondowoso who only completed 999 statues cursed Jonggrang to be the thousandth statue.

Getting Rid of Headaches : Find The Cause

Many people who experience headaches fall into a dangerous trap: You have a headache, so you take pain medication. Fine, but if you stay on it too long, you set yourself up for rebound headaches when you try to withdraw from the medication. You need to limit your pain meds (including OTCs) to less than three days in a row or 10 pills total. Any more than that, and you increase your risk of experiencing a rebound headache.

Some of the foods that are known to trigger migraines include coffee or caffeine, wines, cheese, smoked meats, sugar, chocolate and anything with the chemical MSG. If you're prone to headaches and regularly indulge in these foods, eliminate them one by one from your diet to see if you can find the link between what you put in your mouth and what you feel in your head. While you can treat your headaches with pain meds, the better course of action is to find the cause and stop them from occurring in the first place.

For many people, the natural reaction when they experience pain (after yelping) is to reach for the pill bottle. And that's okay. Here are your over-the-counter choices: ibuprofen, aspirin and medications that are marketed for migraines (they include acetaminophen, aspirin and caffeine, which are actually as effective as Imitrex can be).

But if OTCs don't work, your doc may opt for a prescription-strength version of the same drug or may recommend a popular class of drugs called triptans, like sumatriptan or rizatriptan (an older version of drugs called ergots are cheaper, but they're not considered as effective and have more major side effects).

Same goes for some of the other triggers. For example, if your migraines might be caused by fluctuations in estrogen, talk to your doc about stabilizing medications that have a lot of estrogen, such as birth control pills—several are available that cycle only four times a year; Seasonique and Seasonale are two common ones. For once-yearly periods, consider Lybrel.

Suffering may have been something that got you a merit badge in the Middle Ages, but prolonging head pain today leads you to more head pain. The neurons that respond to pain are like patrons at a free food buffet; they come in waves. If the pain can be stopped early, you close the door on the mad rush of neurons being activated in an ugly way and you gain more control over your pain.

That points to the fact that many docs can get caught in a diagnostic rut when dealing with people whose heads hurt. If you're experiencing headache pain that changes your life, then you need to see a headache specialist—someone who has the most current treatments and insight available. Having fewer than five headaches a year is about average. If you're continually sidelined because of them, you really ought to have your head examined. If you have an excruciating headache—the worst of your life—you may need a CT scan to be sure your noggin is okay.

Or you can try to strengthening your neck. Takes five minutes three times a week for 10 weeks to reduce such pain by more than 80 percent. Rare types of headaches arise as referred pain from arthritis of small joints between the vertebrae of the neck called facet joints. Exercise, analgesics and sometimes nerve blocks are required to eliminate this type of headache.

Regular aerobic exercise also means that you'll have less regular headaches. How? It helps relieve stress and increases the levels of painkilling endorphins. Similarly, yoga, stretching and meditation also help reduce tension and thus relax the chemical wackiness that can cause headaches. ( source : oprah.com )

How to Prevent Acne

Do you know that acne is not caused by dirty skin, eating chocolate, or drinking lots of soda. Acne is caused by overactive oil glands in the skin and an accumulation of oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria, which leads to inflammation in pores.

Oil glands become stimulated when hormones become active during puberty, which is why people are likely to get acne in their teens. Because the tendency to develop acne is partly genetic, if other people in your family had (or have) acne, you may be more likely to develop it too.

Although there is no surefire way to prevent acne, try these tips to help reduce the number and severity of your breakouts:

1. Washing your skin is essential (it helps remove excess surface oils and dead skin cells that can clog your pores), but washing too much can actually cause damage by overdrying your skin or irritating existing acne.

2. Remember to wash after exercising because sweat can clog your pores and make your acne worse. If you work around greasy food or oil or if you've been sweating from heat or because you've been working hard, wash your face and other acne-prone areas as soon as possible.

3. If you use skin products, such as lotions or makeup, look for ones that are noncomedogenic or nonacnegenic, which means that they don't clog pores.

4. If you can't live without your hair spray or styling gel, be sure to keep them away from your face as much as possible. Many hair products contain oils that can make acne worse.

5. If you get acne on areas such as your chest or back, avoid wearing tight clothes, which can rub and cause irritation.

Eating nutritious foods can help keep you healthy, of course, and your skin will benefit from getting enough vitamins and minerals. But the bottom line is that you don't need to be obsessive about what you eat or how often you wash your face to control acne. If you don't find an OTC ( on the counter )product that works for you, talk to your doctor or a dermatologist for some advice on living through the acne years.

Say No to Antibiotics for the Common Cold

Many of adult patients insist (and a few demand) antibiotics for upper respiratory tract infections--you know: mild coughs, the sniffles, colds, nasal congestion. But most colds and such are caused by viruses, which means that the class of drugs known as antibiotics--developed to kill bacteria and only bacteria, not viruses--won't do these persistent patients a bit of good. most upper respiratory tract infections in healthy adults are caused by viruses; hundreds of viruses can cause cough, nasal congestion, body aches, and sore throat. But, unfortunately, antibiotics can only kill or inhibit the growth of bacteria; they have no effect on viruses, which are much wilier and harder to kill. Luckily, however, if you have a healthy immune system, your killer T-cells are quite capable of finishing off a virus infection in due course, without any assistance from the medical community. Your cold symptoms will usually go away on their own in 7 to 10 days. So the next time you visit your physician for cold symptoms, please do not ask for that antibiotic. Instead, * If possible, go home and rest (rather than spread the bug to others). * If you wish, take over-the-counter cold remedies to relieve your symptoms. (But know that they won't shorten the length of your cold.) * If you really have to go to your job, consider wearing a surgical mask to protect your coworkers from some of the millions of viruses you'll be shedding all over the office. * Drink lots of fluids. * Wash your hands often. * Get vaccinated against influenza every year By the way, medical experts now advise against giving any over-the-counter cough or cold drug to children under the age of 6--even if the labels say that they've been concocted specifically for children. These meds probably won't do a child any good and could possibly do serious harm.

The Undiscovered Lombok

lombok is the second beautiful travel destination in indonesia. it is as beautiful as bali and almost popular as bali but not as crowded as bali. some says lombok is the sister of bali and some says lombok is the undiscovered island ( except for sengiggi and the gili islands that have become popular tourism areas ). though less developed than bali, in recent years lombok has given bali a run for its money in the real of tourism. lombok has wonderful beaches, volcano and varied landscape. It is an ideal place for those looking for a private holiday away from the hustle and bustle of a normal tourist spot. west lombok has both the lushness of bali and the starkness of outback australia. with the three 'big cities', the airport and the biggest concentration of hotels, west-lombok is the best place to stay for the visitor. mataram, lombok's capital, is a good spot for day trips to the surrounding areas. in east lombok, the very scenic sumbawa offers low key tourism and some good surf breaks. bellow are some holiday spot you can visit :

1. tourist objects
2. hotels
3. beach
